Click here to download an application.Description:   The Granville County Democratic Party is seeking ambitious, hard-working and dependable students to support our campaign efforts.  We are focused on addressing critical issues (schools, health, jobs) facing citizens in Granville County and throughout the state of North Carolina.   Interns will have the opportunity to learn about these issues and gain a better understanding of how our political system works. They will also help support our daily operations and activities for the upcoming election.What will you do?   You will be asked to do the following: 

·        Maintain office hours, monitor sign-in processes and other office duties as assigned
·        Help educate young people on voting for Democrats
·        Help register new voters
·        Help develop youth outreach and Get Out the Vote plans
·        Conduct phone banking and canvassing with volunteers
·        Create content for social media: SnapChat, Facebook and Twitter
·        Train candidates and volunteers on the use of social media
·        Assist candidates on using social media by setting up accounts
·        Assist with Unity Banquet in July
·        Enter data in databases
  • Attend at least 1 Dem party meeting and 1 Teen Dems meeting

How long will the internship last?      Internships will run from June 17 - August 11, 2018Will you get paid?       $10/hour for up to 10 hrs/ week minimumCan you choose your days and hours?  Yes, Interns will sign up for a minimum of 10 hours per week each week. We will work with YOUR work, school and vacation schedules.  We also have opportunities for evening and weekend hours. However, interns must show up when they are signed up to work.  You MUST be reliable.What are the qualifications?  To apply for an internship, you must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in high school, community college, or college.
