We hope this message finds you well. It has been some time since our last communication, and we genuinely miss the connection we once had. As we reflect on our journey, we are reminded of the invaluable relationships we've built and the milestones we've achieved together.
Here at the Granville County Democratic Party, we believe that meaningful relationships form the foundation of our success. While we may have temporarily lost touch, we are excited to revive our bond and continue our journey together. Your support and trust have always been crucial to our growth, and we are eager to share our recent developments with you.
Our Progress:
During our time apart, we have been dedicated to preparing for the upcoming election season. Here are some highlights of what we've been up to:
New Members For Board Positions: First and foremost, we are well on our way towards being an organized county party. The first step towards that was NCDP Chair Anderson Clayton recently appointing Shannon Fleming to the open GCDP Chair role.
Additionally, we've found talented individuals to fill the roles of 1st Vice Chair with Liz Purvis and 2nd Vice Chair with Norma Harris-Allen who bring fresh perspectives and ideas to serve you better. Our team's dedication remains unwavering, and we are committed to providing the Granville County Democratic Party with the leadership that it needs to bring energy and excitement for the 2024 election season.
In the coming months, we hope you will get to know Shannon, Liz and Norma along with the returning members of the Granville County Democratic Party executive committee, Charlie Gunn as Treasurer and Sara Ott as Secretary.
Innovations: We've been hard at work, innovating and refining our resources to better meet your needs as voters and volunteers. Voter Toolkit – Here you’ll find the info you’ll need to be ready to vote in upcoming elections. Keep an eye on this as it will be updated as we get closer to election time.
Volunteer Signup – When we have opportunities for volunteering for the Democratic Party or local Democratic candidates, you’ll be able to sign up in just a few clicks.
Easy To Find Information – Meeting Information, Contact Information, and Donation Information can all be located with a click. Plus, you can easily opt to save event information to your digital calendar of choice

We are seeing new energy in the North Carolina Democratic Party and signs that Granville County will be an important part of their plans.
